As an artist it is quite hard to keep different styles under one brand. Fans are usually very upset when a new song comes out, and it sounds so different to the previous ones.
As an artist I can tell you that sometimes we have a desire to try new things and venture into different styles in order to move on, and learn new things!
It happens with me all the time…
The solution to these things is to start a different hidden pseudonym, which gives you all the freedom.
The downside is that everything gets quite fragmented on the backside end of things, and becomes increasingly hard to manage all this as an artist without a manager. The work suddenly doubles itself up, and you start to doubt yourself if this was the right choice…
